People assume CAIOS started as a software idea. It didn’t. It started with a $300 million deal — and everything that happened after I lost it.
The fall
At 21 I dropped out of college and started brokering deals between investors and startups. One of them became a partnership worth $300 million. Then I did what a 21-year-old with more luck than wisdom does: I spent like the check had already cleared — designer suits, exclusive clubs, and a lot of bragging. When the deal fell through, I had nothing left but red numbers and a very loud ego. I hit rock bottom.
The reset
Rock bottom has one silver lining: you’ve got nothing left to protect. So I sold what I had, packed one backpack, and spent a year traveling the world — funding it with the web-design skills I’d been building since high school. It started with ten days of silent meditation: no phone, no talking, no hiding. I came back a different person. Not fixed. Rebuilt.
What I actually learned
When I started building companies again, I built them around one rule I’d learned the hard way: the business can’t depend on me being in the middle of it. The first time around, I was the business — every deal, every follow-up, every decision ran through me. That’s not an asset. It’s a single point of failure with a pulse.
So I rebuilt differently. I wanted companies that ran on systems, not on my presence — companies I could operate from my phone, from a backpack, from anywhere. And every time I tried to build that, I hit the same wall: the tools didn’t talk to each other, so a person had to hold it all together. That person was always me. Again.
Why CAIOS exists
CAIOS is the answer I built for myself first. It’s an operating layer that sits above every tool a business runs on, gives them one shared memory, and lets AI do the actual work — inside real roles, with a human approving anything that goes out the door. It’s the thing that finally took me out of the middle.
I don’t theorize about this. I run my own companies on it — ARC, ARC Labs, all of it — on my own dime, before I ever offered it to anyone else. CAIOS is done-for-you AI that runs your operation, installed on your own server and wired to your tools.
I’ve closed nine-figure deals, lost everything, and rebuilt it into companies you can run from your phone. CAIOS is how. If you’re ready to take yourself out of the middle of your business, that’s exactly what it’s for.
